2022 Lacrosse Fandom Survey, Interview w/ Bailee Noorda (Clearfield)
Issue 76 - ASUN Preseason Polls, Coaching Vacancies and a Wasatch LC Spotlight
Good morning lacrosse fans! One of my favorite things is to poll the lacrosse community to get a pulse for what is happening so I’ve created a survey as we enter this new year. Please take a moment to fill it out and send it to your teammates!
I should also note that if you’re reading this on your phone or computer in a browser and want this delivered to your inbox also, you can sign up here:

One of the benefits of being in a conference is yearly/monthly/weekly recognition for the student-athletes. Two Utah players earned 2022 ASUN Men’s Lacrosse Preseason All-Conference Team nods last week with Samuel Cambere and Tyler Bradbury being named to the list. Utah also received 31 points in the preseason coaches poll, which is a tie with Air Force. The Falcons earned one more 1st place vote. The other thing that caught my eye with the preseason team was the diversity of locations the players came from. Three from Texas, four from Ontario, one from Indiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Michigan and California.

We caught up with Coach Jorgy from UVU regarding the Prospect Night last week.
Prospect night was designed for future college athletes to get on the field as Wolverine for the night and show what they’ve learned throughout high school.
“Prospect Night was amazing,” said Coach Jorgy.
The team was only expecting 3-4 players. That didn’t happen. They had 16 fantastic athletes from Ogden to Payson. It’s exciting to see these Universities bloom and give these opportunities to high school girls lacrosse players. This shows how coaches, league directors, social media and players are working together to grow Utah Girls Lacrosse. Utah Valley University coaches, players and fans are ready for a great spring season.
“We are ready! We are excited! We are VALLEY,” said Coach Jorgy.

Interview w/ Bailee Noorda, Clearfield Girls Head Coach
As Clearfield girls lacrosse prepares for the new spring season they also welcome a new head coach, Coach Bailee Noorda. Coach Noorda is the former Fremont high school girls lacrosse coach. Clearfield is thrilled to have Coach Noorda join their team. She brings her knowledge and skills of playing and coaching to the Falcons lacrosse field. Speaking with Coach Noorda, her No.1 priority is to build a confident and true lacrosse team at Clearfield. To build a confident and true lacrosse team her practice plans are focused on the fundamentals of girls lacrosse. Coach Noorda plans on elevating her coaching techniques this season. Every team and every season has taught her something new. She’s ready to take this knowledge to the next leave with Clearfield. Coach Noorda's playing experience started at Fremont high school, from there she attended Utah State University where she played on their women's team. After playing on the Utah State women's team she found herself loving coaching and wanting to make an impact in Northern Utah Lacrosse.
