How The Top Ten Fared
Corner Canyon - The Chargers dispatched Green Canyon on March 23 by a final score of 16-1 before dropping a tough contest to visiting Cherry Creek, CO by a score of 14-5. Blake Franckowiak led the way for the Chargers for the week with seven total goals and an impressive 13 points on the week. Corner Canyon will face Lone Peak on March 30th.
Olympus - The Titans retained king of the hill status with a big week of wins over Bountiful 20-5, and dropped another 20 spot against neighborhood rival Highland with a final score of 20-4. Ethan Hartsfield and Charlie Droitsch led the way for Olympus with five goals apiece in their matchup against the Rams. The Titans take on Riverton Thursday, April 6th.
Park City - Hosted the traveling Cherry Creek, CO squad at home in a 14-2 defeat after an impressive string of wins across the state. The Miners continue their loaded schedule this week by hosting Westlake on Wednesday and Wasatch on Friday.
Brighton - The Bengals roared into form with a string of road wins, starting with an impressive over Westlake in Thundertown by a score of 9-3 on the Rewind Game of the Week. Heading north to Fremont, Brighton walked out with a victory over the Silver Wolves by a score of 16-7 on Thursday the 23rd. The road-warrior Bengals then closed out the stretch with a win over Wasatch 13-4. Next up is a home game against Northridge on Friday the 31st.
Alta - The Hawks sit at 3-1 following a strong week of offensive fireworks in wins over Timpview and Jordan. Deacon Mearian notched SEVEN goals as Alta beat Timpview 14-10 and then unleashed a barrage of scoring as Alta beat Jordan 27-0. Next up for the Hawks is a road trip down to Lehi to face the Pioneers on Thursday.
Fremont - The Silverwolves recovered from the loss to Brighton by beating Syracuse 21-6 on Wednesday. They’ll head to Roy next to face the Royals on Thursday the 30th.
Lone Peak - Knights will be back in action as Corner Canyon comes to Lone Peak to face off in a battle of top ten programs on Thursdays.
American Fork - No games on the slate for American Fork until Riverton rolls down to face the Cavemen on April 12th, but it was a 9-7 win that left AF with a good taste in their mouths as they wait for the next matchup.
Davis - It was a tale of two Darts as Davis blanked Layton by a score of 25-0 on Tuesday, only to fall 20-4 at Olympus. Davis will take on Syracuse in a region game on Thursday the 30th.
Wasatch - Dropped a non-region game against Brighton on March 28th, and things don’t get any easier as the Wasps meet up with Park City for a Wasatch Back battle that should be one of the premiere games of the week.
Utah Lacrosse Gets Back to Business, Heads to Colorado to Meet Air Force Wednesday

“The Utes scored a school record 24 goals in the game, finishing with 69 shots including 43 on goal. Utah also won a program record 27 faceoffs (27-of-38) with its 54 ground balls being a season-high and ranking second all-time.
Utah scored nine goals in the third quarter which is a school record for goals in a single-quarter while its 13 goals in the first half tied the program record for goals in a single half (13 vs. Furman, 2020). In all, the Utes scored 32 points (24 goals, 8 assists), which ranks second all-time.”
Utah will meet up with the Air Force Falcons in a mid-week match in Colorado Springs. It will be the second game in five days for the Utes, and will start at 12 p.m. MT.

In other news for the Utes, Cole Brams was named the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week, breaking his own record for single-game faceoff wins with 26 of 33 attempts being won, adding 15 ground balls, two assists, and one goal. Congrats to Cole!
