Welcome in fans to the Utah Lacrosse Report Podcast, I’m your host, Tim Haslam. Today I’m joined by Bountiful Head Coach Peter Jordan, one of the longest‑tenured coaches in Utah high school lacrosse and a guy who’s been deeply connected to the sport his entire life.
Coach Jordan shares his journey from growing up around the game with a lacrosse‑playing dad, playing for Bountiful’s first high school team, and continuing on at the University of Utah in the MCLA. From there, he dives into his coaching path — returning to Bountiful, learning under Marty Wescott and eventually taking over as head coach, where he’s now spent a decade building one of Utah’s most respected programs.
We talk about:
The early days of Bountiful lacrosse and how the program was built
His college experience at Utah and competing in a loaded MCLA conference
Coaching alongside former players and family members
What makes this year’s Bountiful team special
The importance of multi‑sport athletes
Navigating a tough region with Olympus, Brighton, Alta, and more
Culture, toughness, and developing players beyond the scoreboard
Plus, we wrap things up with some fun rapid‑fire questions — including wooden sticks, favorite coaching moments, and where to eat in Bountiful after a Friday night game.
Hope you enjoy the show!
