4A Semi Finial Recap

No. 1 Judge Memorial vs No. 5 Green Canyon
Judge Memorial takes down the returning state champions with a dominant win this past Wednesday, 14-5. Sophomores Rome Swanwick and Sean Jerome both walked away with 3 goals for the Bulldogs and Jerome having 3 assists on the board as well. Judge pulled away in the second half, scoring 3 in the 3rd and 4 in the 4th to seal their win over the wolves. They look to take down SkyView View High School this Friday In the State Championship.
No. 2 Sky View vs No. 6 Ridgeline
Sky View High School once again headed to the State championship, as Easton Ballard, a Senior for the Bobcats, led his team to victory with a dominant performance, scoring 6 of the bobcats 14 goals and 1 assist. As Ballard helped seal the deal, the Bobcats walked away with a 14-9 win. They look to take down Judge Memorial in the State Championship, and walk away with their first ever sanctioned State Title.

No. 1 Brighton vs. No. 5 Northridge
It was all Brighton at Westminster on Wednesday as the Bengals defeated Northridge 19-3 as they were led by Seniors Donovan Wismer and Grayson Harris, Juniors Austin Taylor and Andrew Salinas and Sophomore Gabe Carrera, with Senior goalie Mason Fray having a rock solid performance between the pipes. Brighton takes on Region 6 rival Park City after an impressive win vs Olympus at Zions Bank Stadium at the RSL Academy in Herriman on Friday at 8.
No. 2 Olympus vs. No. 3 Park City
In a thrilling 5A semifinal matchup, the Park City Miners beat the Olympus Titans 7-6. Park City is now seeking their 3rd straight 5A state championship but first they have to get past No. 1 seed Brighton. The Miners won two weeks ago after an exciting overtime game winner from Senior goalie AJ Silianoff. Brighton is sure to stop Silianoff in transition this time, but you don’t want to miss this game between these two 5A powerhouses on Friday at 8.

No. 8 Farmington vs No. 4 Corner Canyon
Corner Canyon showcased their dominance on Dumke Field on Wednesday, May 22, with a resounding 11-3 victory over Farmington. While Farmington demonstrated hard work and dedication, Corner Canyon displayed unmatched tenacity and power. Senior Kisen Muramoto led the charge for Corner Canyon with an impressive 4 goals and 2 assists. Complementing Muramoto's stellar performance, Senior Mitchell Phippen was a wall in the goal, making 9 incredible saves and allowing only 3 goals.
Corner Canyon now advances to face Davis at Zions Bank Stadium at 2 pm on May 24th. Both teams share a common history this season, each defeating Northridge 12-3 and each losing to Olympus by a narrow margin (Davis 7-5, Corner 7-6). They also both claimed victories over Farmington, with Davis winning 7-6 and Corner Canyon securing a dominant 11-3 win. This upcoming match promises to be an exciting showdown.
No. 7 Fremont vs No. 5 Davis
Davis Darts showcased their strength in a thrilling 11-9 victory over the respectable Fremont Silverwolves. Junior Luke Donigan was unstoppable, leading the charge with three goals. On the defensive end, senior Hunter Keller shone brightly, earning MVP honors with 18 impressive saves, allowing just nine goals.
With this two-goal triumph, the Darts advance to the 6A State Championship. They'll face Corner Canyon in an eagerly anticipated showdown on Friday, May 24th, at 2 PM at Zions Bank Stadium. Both teams have faced Northridge, Farmington, and Olympus this season, defeating the first two while falling to the latter. The stage is set for an epic clash—don't miss it!
