College Wrap Up
After a rough start to the year University of Utah Men’s Lacrosse is now on a winning streak, taking down both Mercer and Belarmine in their most recent games. We will see if the streak holds when they play Jacksonville this weekend.
Westminster Men’s Lacrosse is also struggling a bit this season. They recently lost to Colorado Mesa University after besting Adams State the day before.
In other play Brigham Young University continues an amazing year with a 10-0 record. Utah Valley is also playing well with a 7-2 record, and the Utah State Aggies are 9-5. Southern Utah is having a rough go of it with a 5-2 record, and Utah Tech has a single win on their record, losing their other 12 matches.
Coaches Poll
No changes in the Top 10 in Week 3 of competition; the teams just switched spots around again. Davis took the most significant drop for no reason other than votes entered since they had no games this week. on themselves. Olympus reestablished itself in the poll after a few good wins by jumping up 2 spots to #3.
Corner Canyon continues to dominate and keeps the top spot for the third week running. Will games against Riverton and Judge Memorial change that?
Park City had two games this week and won one and lost one. We will see how they fare this week.
For the most part, the Top 10 stayed the same with Salem Hills continuing their climb up the polls. Brighton dropped a few spots to #8 while Fremont makes their first appearance in the Top 10. Do not sleep on the Silverwolves. They are really starting to find their stride heading into region play. This week, they face off against Farmington and Riverton.
Several schools were on break, and we had a light game schedule. Both game schedules and competition will pick up this week.

Inspirational Athlete of the Week
Emma Henderson, Brighton High School
“Emma is the hardest worker you’ll ever meet. She never settles and has high expectations for herself. As an SBO and lacrosse captain, she has a lot on her plate, but she’s still always the first to the field and last to leave. Emma is always the first to move goals, clean up garbage on the bus, check on teammates, connect with JV players, help the coaches, and make new friends on the opposing team. She leads our team by example by always working hard and showing up with a good attitude – ready to put in the work. She’s our defensive captain and has led our team to a very low goals against total (check our scores!). We love Emma and are SO grateful for the on-field and off-field impact she has on our program!” — Coach Melissa Nash

Braxton Horoba, midfield, attack
