Boys
April 21 - Mountain View @ Orem
Goals For Average: Mountain View 3.5, Orem 3
Goals Against Average: Mountain View 17.1, Orem 17.2
RPI: Mountain View 18, Orem 21
Common Opponents:
- vs American Fork: Orem -15, Mountain View -16
- vs West Jordan: Orem -11, Mountain View -6
- vs Timpanogos: Orem -13, Mountain View -19
- vs Spanish Fork: Orem -15, Mountain View -18
- vs Provo: Orem -13, Mountain View -12
- vs Jordan: Orem -10, Mountain View -8
Cody Elmen: I have Mountain View getting their first win of the season in this one. When things aren’t going your way, you need someone who can take over. Kemper Best can do that for the Bruins as he has three games with at least a hat-trick this year.
Tim Haslam: I’m going with Mountain View in this one. It will be a close one. I’m thinking 9-8 for the Bruins.
Ron Hill: Going with Orem at home in this rivalry.
Libby Mitchell: Orem takes it.
Dane Stewart: Orem
Austin Whiting: I’m going to take Mountain View in this rivalry, 12-10.
April 23 - American Fork @ Lehi
Goals For Average: Lehi 10.4, American Fork 10.1
Goals Against Average: Lehi 7.8, American Fork 7.2
RPI: Lehi 11, American Fork 13
Common Opponents:
- vs Mountain View: Lehi +15, American Fork +16
- vs Pleasant Grove: Lehi -7, American Fork -7
- vs Timpview: Lehi -3, American Fork -1
CE: I like what Lehi is building, and they beat American Fork last year, which was huge for them. However, I think the Cavemen are better equipped this year, especially with Sawyer Jensen’s dominance on face-offs this season.
TH: What a matchup! I’m going to give the slight edge to the home team. Lehi wins it.
RH: Great matchup with both teams very motivated for the win, I’m going with AF and the power of the faceoff and possession.
LM: This may be the tightest match of the week. But I think Lehi will walk away with in OT.
DS: American Fork
AW: I think Lehi will take this one, 12-8.
April 23 - Davis @ Syracuse
Goals For Average: Syracuse 12.4, Davis 9.5
Goals Against Average: Syracuse 8.1, Davis 8.5
RPI: Syracuse 10, Davis 9
Head-to-head: Davis won 9-6 on April 7
Common Opponents:
- vs Layton: Syracuse +9, Davis +8
- vs Bountiful: Syracuse -15, Davis -15
- vs Farmington: Syracuse -20, Davis -14
CE: As the saying goes, it’s hard to beat a team twice. The saying has been true many times in 6A Region 1. I don’t think this is one of those times, though. I think Davis wins another close one.
TH: The numbers say this game should be close, but I don’t see it. Davis wins.
RH: I’m going with the upset, Syracuse in a close battle 9-7.
LM: Davis will win.
DS: Davis
AW: I like Davis here, 10-7.

April 22 - Payson @ Wasatch
Goals For Average: Wasatch 12.5, Payson 11.5
Goals Against Average: Wasatch 9.4, Payson 8
RPI: Wasatch 14, Payson 11
Common Opponents:
- vs West Jordan: Wasatch -11, Payson -8
- vs Salem Hills: Wasatch -5, Payson -4
- vs Maple Mountain: Wasatch +2, Payson +8
CE: In week 1, I was one of the few staff members who didn’t give a shout-out to Payson goalie Myka Elliot. Since then, her and the Lions defense have been locking down some of the best attacks in the state. Payson wins this one.
TH: I’m going to pick the Wasps. Once again the home team will prove to be victorious.
RH: Payson is always strong, a little quit this year, but still strong. The Lions take this one.
LM: Payson is an amazing team, and I am glad that people are paying attention to Myka. It will be close, but I think they win.
DS: Payson
AW: I’m taking Payson here, 11-9.
April 22 - Logan @ Green Canyon
Goals For Average: Green Canyon 7.8, Logan 8.6
Goals Against Average: Green Canyon 9.4, Logan 8.4
RPI: Green Canyon 7, Logan 11
Head-to-head: Logan won 10-7 on March 25
Common Opponents:
- vs West Field: Green Canyon +3, Logan -6
- vs Mountain Crest: Green Canyon +6, Logan +9
- vs Ridgeline: Green Canyon -1, Logan +1
CE: If Logan could repeat the first two weeks of the season, I think they would in a heartbeat. The Grizzlies are getting hot at the right time, and I think they keep that momentum rolling here.
TH: Green Canyon gets revenge!
RH: Tough call, Logan has been playing real well lately but I have to go with Green Canyon in this contest.
LM: This should be a pretty easy win for Green Canyon. Shout out to Logan, though, for stepping up with their offense this season. They have closed the gap on scoring in games this year.
DS: Green Canyon
AW: I think Logan will get their second win against GC, 10-8.
April 22 - Snow Canyon @ Desert Hills
Goals For Average: Desert Hills 9.5, Snow Canyon 7.9
Goals Against Average: Desert Hills 8.4, Snow Canyon 7.1
RPI: Desert Hills 13, Snow Canyon 16
Head-to-head: Snow Canyon won 12-11 on March 19
Common Opponents:
- vs Mountain Crest: Desert Hills +7, Snow Canyon -4
- vs Hurricane: Desert Hills -11, Snow Canyon -1
- vs Crimson Cliffs: Desert Hills +2, Snow Canyon +11
- vs Cedar: Desert Hills +11, Snow Canyon +9
CE: I think Snow Canyon sweeps the series in this one. They’ve used the earlier win against Desert Hills as a springboard into more impressive results, and I think they continue their streak.
TH: The numbers favor Desert Hills, but Snow Canyon beat the Thunder a month ago. I’m going with Desert Hills since they are the home team.
RH: Snow Canyon in this one, pretty even, but I will go with SC’s defense in a low scoring game.
LM: This is a tricky one. Both schools are relatively new to play, and still figuring things out. I’m going with Desert Hills.
DS: Desert Hills
AW: I’m going to pick Desert Hills to get revenge, same score 12-11.
